"...so that the time does not pass." Without any argument, the Prince stood up, and they performed their prayers. Sharifatul Masliya also performed her ablutions and joined them in the congregation from behind.
After they finished the prayers and offered their supplications, Sharifatul Masliya went into the horse-drawn carriage and brought out their food. She served the Prince his portion separately, then served Falluz his. Afterward, she took her own, walked a distance away, turned her back to them, and began to eat.
For a few seconds, Prince Raiyanul Hasanu and Falluz could not bring themselves to touch their food; they just kept looking at each other and then at where Sharifatul Masliya was sitting. She sensed they were not eating, so she turned around and looked at them. Greatly surprised, she stood up, brought her food, sat down right beside them, and asked calmly, "What is the reason you are not eating?"
At first, they looked at each other, unable to answer. Finally, Prince Raiyanul Hasanu looked at her and said, "O woman of great beauty and dignity, how did you manage to hide yourself in our home and city, so that no one knew of your existence until this journey brought us together? I swear by the greatness of God, even among historians, I have never heard of a woman with your level of beauty, for words are insufficient to describe the extent of your beauty." When Sharifatul Masliya heard this, she smiled, bowed, and said, "My Prince, know that my story is very long; we could spend three days here, and I would still not finish telling it. Long before your father, King Ubaidu, bought me from the land of Sham when I was five years old, I grew up in a secluded place in your house where no one knew of my existence except for two people: King Ubaidu and his wife, Badi'atu. My Prince, know that now we must discuss how we will enter these three great countries and succeed in the mission that brought us from home. I promise that the day we succeed in completing our task, we will sit down, and I will tell you my life's history.
"For now, my first advice is that we head to the city of Baitul Bahalus, where King Yazid rules—he who has a sister named Rahisa, a beautiful, virtuous maiden. We will not enter this city during the day when people can see us clearly; we will enter at the beginning of the night. My Prince, know that I have a prayer I can recite and blow over your face. By the will of God, if I do this, your appearance will change to resemble King Yazid, and we will be welcomed with open arms in Baitul Bahalus. We will go straight to the palace to meet with him. If we succeed, tell him that you are a healer, not a sorcerer, and that you have come from a distant land. Tell him you have heard of the condition his sister Rahisa is in and that you have come to heal her. If he asks for your payment, tell him you want nothing except to be allowed to treat all the sick people of the land. Also, if he asks how long you will stay in his country, tell him only one month."
When Sharifatul Masliya reached this point in her speech, the Prince and Falluz were filled with wonder. Raiyanul Hasanu asked, "But what is the reason you said we should not enter the city during the day, and why did you say I should tell King Yazid I will only stay for one month?" Sharifatul Masliya sighed and said, "My Prince, forgive me for now, as I do not have time to answer your questions because the answer is long. All I want from you both is for us to stand up and continue our journey, for we have nine days left before we reach the first city, Baitul Bahalus, where King Yazid rules." After this explanation, Sharifatul Masliya stood up and went to the carriage. Without wasting any time, Prince Raiyanul Hasanu and Falluz also prepared themselves, boarded the carriage, and continued their journey.
What will happen when Prince Raiyanul Hasanu and his companions reach the city of Baitul Bahalus? What is the story of Kahazib, the man Wazir Isham taught so that he could go to the city of Nurul Jalis to lead the Muslims astray? Will Princess Sharima, Princess Balhira, and Princess Rahisa recover from their illnesses? What wonders will occur during this journey of the Prince to the three countries? And will the three pagan nations succeed in destroying the city of Nurul Jalis?
