    1. STORY

All of them were in a state of anxiety, deep thought, and doubt regarding their success in the upcoming mission to the Island of Darul Muhuk. Nothing had discouraged them more than what the sorcerer Zuwalil Baharus had said: that there was a single sorcerer whom even he feared, and that this sorcerer did not belong to this world, but resided in another world high above. Thus, as the journey reached the upper realms, King Sahalu and his companions became extremely distressed, not knowing what this hidden sorcerer might do to them.
As for Princess Lasmal, there was no anxiety in her heart because the bird Hamsil had comforted her, assuring her that he would protect her from all dangers she might encounter. When Princess Lasmal was alone with the bird Hamsil in her room—built upon the jinn Kamasaini—she saw Hamsil sitting in deep, gloomy silence. This greatly surprised her, as she had never seen him in such a state before. Lasmal looked at Hamsil with concern and said, "Oh marvelous bird, what has happened to you that I see you in this strange new state?"
Hamsil shook his head and said, "Oh Queen of Beauties, know that nothing has brought me to this state except the thought of what is about to happen to us very soon." Upon hearing this, Lasmal's heart trembled with alarm, and she said, "Then all that you told me before was meaningless, since you now doubt something dangerous that is coming."
Hamsil burst into laughter and then said, "It is not dangerous now, but it may become dangerous in the future. Oh Star of Stars, I inform you that we will reach a small town shortly. In this town, there is nothing except a small group of people who follow a religion called Islam. Without a doubt, we must land in this town, and when we do, something will happen between you and one of these people whose outcome could mean success or failure for our mission."
When Hamsil reached this point in his speech, Lasmal fell silent and said nothing, only staring at him in deep thought. Finally, she sighed and said: "Oh Hamsil, isn't your power rooted in magic? Why don't you use your magic so we can bypass this town without having to land in it?"
Hamsil shook his head and said, "Even magic has its limits where it fails. Surely, no magic can have any effect on these people. They are the only people about whom I know nothing; I do not know what they are experiencing now, nor do I know what will happen to them in the future."
This reply from Hamsil profoundly shook Lasmal. Instantly, her body grew cold, and she became certain that she did not possess complete protection for this long journey ahead, casting doubt on the success of reaching the Island of Darul Muhuk. This was what transpired between Princess Lasmal and the bird Hamsil after they were left alone in her room.
Meanwhile, in the distant heavens, at the ultimate boundary of the jinn—the limit beyond which they could not pass, established by Allah the Almighty—the sorcerer Fitinatul Zaman had commanded the jinn to build him a magnificent palace made of pearl foam. Among all the palaces of the world, none could match this one in splendor, beauty, and majesty. At the center of the palace, upon a towering golden throne, sat the sorcerer Fitinatul Zaman. Surrounding him were about forty thousand elite male and female jinn. These jinn were known as the most fierce and rebellious beings on earth, originating from the dark-skinned jinn race whom everyone feared due to their immense strength and cruelty, and they were considered the very origin of dark magic on earth. Except for the sorcerer Fitinatul Zaman, no creature—neither in the past nor the present—was able to control these jinn, save for Prophet Solomon (PBUH).
While court was being held, Fitinatul Zaman suddenly burst into a wild, mad laughter, laughing three times before abruptly sealing his lips as if receiving news of death, turning his terrifying face grim all at once. The leader of the dark jinn, nicknamed Masararul Zuruz, bowed before him, cleared his throat, and said, "Oh my master, what is the reason for this frightening laughter? Is it a matter of joy or sorrow? If the people of the earth have angered you, give us permission to descend upon the surface of the earth. I swear by the majesty of your throne that we could shatter the entire world in an hour and burn everything in it to ashes."
During this era, it was barely four years since the passing of Prophet Isa (PBUH); therefore, this community utilized the Gospel (Injil) as their guiding book for all matters of life. At this time, it was the beginning of the rainy season. Since the previous night, heavy rain had been pouring, and it did not stop until just before dawn. After the people performed their religious duties and morning household chores, they set off early for the farms. You would see a family head taking his children along, while the wealthier individuals hired laborers to work for them on the farms.
By the time the sun began to break, many people were already far along with their farm work. Wherever you looked, everything was vibrant green due to the thriving crops, excluding the wild grasses in non-farming areas. Even if a blind person were to visit the farms of these pious people and run their hands over the soil, they would instantly recognize that the blessings of Allah had descended upon the place. Nothing was more captivating in this town, known as Nurul Salam, than the style of their clothing, their beautiful architecture adorned with bricks, plaster, and modern masonry designs, and even their cooking pots and hearths, which were a source of great admiration.

    2. Summary

The text opens with King Sahalu and his allies gripped by fear and doubt about their journey to the Island of Darul Muhuk, unnerved by the warning of the sorcerer Zuwalil Baharus regarding a powerful, hidden sorcerer residing in the upper realms. Meanwhile, Princess Lasmal remains confident under the protection of her magical companion, the bird Hamsil. However, when alone in her chamber, Hamsil expresses deep anxiety about an upcoming stop at a small town inhabited by followers of Islam—a people completely immune to his magic. This revelation deeply disturbs Lasmal, shattering her sense of security.
The narrative then shifts to the distant heavenly realms where the supreme dark sorcerer, Fitinatul Zaman, rules over forty thousand terrifying jinn from his pearl-foam palace. After a sudden, chilling fit of laughter, his chief commander, Masararul Zuruz, offers to unleash destruction upon the earthly world.
Finally, the scene shifts to the earthly town of Nurul Salam, just a few years after the time of Prophet Isa (PBUH). Following a heavy morning rain, the pious residents head out to their flourishing, blessed farms. The town is depicted as prosperous, characterized by beautiful brick architecture, modest yet admirable culture, and deep faith.
